FONT FRIDAY :: Archer

Recent Acquisition : Archer

I'm specifically in love with the super thin fonts from the collection shown below, as the description says "Can you ever be too thin?".  And the ball terminals just make me smile :)

You can also see this delightful font gracing the pages of the current Anthropologie catalog -

Archer was designed by Hoefler & Frere-Jones for Martha Stewart Living and is available here. As you may have assumed I have a thing for fonts. They come in all shapes and sizes with elaborate swashes and elegant details. The right font can easily make or break a design. Every Friday, I’ll share some of my favorites and recent purchases here, hoping to inspire a typography addiction in everyone.

For additional font inspiration check out these ladies: Jenna from Little Bit Heart,  Lauren from Lauren Elise Crafted, Steph from Bubblerock, Jenny from Hank + Hunt, Kerry from Super Swoon , Jen from Blush Printables and Alexandra & Craig from The Aerialist Press.

I try to keep my font sheet updated with recent purchases, but if you see a font you love on here and would like to incorporate it into your designs just let me know!

Custom Garden Rose Invitations

Rosie requested a custom design for their classic, formal wedding incorporating garden roses, her favorite flower.  She also asked if I could add in a small bird somewhere as her future husband and his family are avid bird watchers. We worked with a color palette of Navy and peach.

I printed the RSVP, Information Cards, and labels for her; and she had the invitations printed by a local letterpress printer.

The printer was kind enough to take some photos which she shared with me.

And this is what her lucky guests received in the mail!

I also designed the programs for their ceremony and the menu for their reception dinner.

Wedding Program

The peach box on the back represents a small envelope that Rosie planned to attach to the reverse of the program to hold a tissue!
