In honor of tomorrow's holiday, today's chosen font is Amour!  Amour is a beautiful serif font created by Cultivated Mind.  Whenever I see it I am also reminded of Luella, another Cultivated Mind font, I think they could be sisters :)

Amour is a romantic hand drawn font with a slightly retro feeling.  The full family includes 2 fonts in 4 weights, with awesome extras likes coordinating frames and ornaments.

FREE Printable Valentine's Day Card

I'm not opposed to spending $6 on a beautiful letterpress Valentine's Day card, (like this lovely one from Ink Meets Paper) but my Valentine does not appreciate such things and, beautiful hand-crafted card or not, it will be headed for the garbage about 30 seconds after he opens it.  He's just not a card guy.  So, I've made my own for the past few years and share them with my darling readers with the hopes that *maybe* someone keeps theirs, or if not, at least you don't feel guilty when it's tossed in the trash since it's FREE! Here is this year's card -

Font Friday :: Minnow

Featured Font : Minnow

This darling font, called Minnow, is my chosen pick for this week.  Created by Lianne of Baron Art Co. who happens to have a lovely FREE print available on her website right now if you sign up for her mailing list.  She also offers beautiful custom calligraphy services!

From the author: "Minnow is a sweet and simple typeface with natural lines that have a pen and ink handlettered feel. The variation between thick and thin lines, plus the mix of serif and sans-serif elements makes this a playful and unpredictable typeface that can be used boldly on it's own or paired beautifully with traditional serifs, scripts or modern and simple sans-serifs."

Minnow is available at an introductory offer of only $19, with the option of buying an extended license for another $60 if you plan to use it for resale use.   I hope to see more fonts from Lianne in the future!

Font Friday : Smoothy

Featured Font : Smoothy

Smoothy, is this week's chosen font.  Designed by Ian Barnard, it contains both a cursive script and a complementary sans-serif.  I foresee this font to be incredibly versatile, fitting in well on everything from baby shower invitations, to a rustic camp wedding suite, to a casual backyard BBQ invite.
