FREE Printable Valentine's Day Card

I'm not opposed to spending $6 on a beautiful letterpress Valentine's Day card, (like this lovely one from Ink Meets Paper) but my Valentine does not appreciate such things and, beautiful hand-crafted card or not, it will be headed for the garbage about 30 seconds after he opens it.  He's just not a card guy.  So, I've made my own for the past few years and share them with my darling readers with the hopes that *maybe* someone keeps theirs, or if not, at least you don't feel guilty when it's tossed in the trash since it's FREE! Here is this year's card -

Font Friday :: Minnow

Featured Font : Minnow

This darling font, called Minnow, is my chosen pick for this week.  Created by Lianne of Baron Art Co. who happens to have a lovely FREE print available on her website right now if you sign up for her mailing list.  She also offers beautiful custom calligraphy services!

From the author: "Minnow is a sweet and simple typeface with natural lines that have a pen and ink handlettered feel. The variation between thick and thin lines, plus the mix of serif and sans-serif elements makes this a playful and unpredictable typeface that can be used boldly on it's own or paired beautifully with traditional serifs, scripts or modern and simple sans-serifs."

Font Friday : Smoothy

Featured Font : Smoothy

Smoothy, is this week's chosen font.  Designed by Ian Barnard, it contains both a cursive script and a complementary sans-serif.  I foresee this font to be incredibly versatile, fitting in well on everything from baby shower invitations, to a rustic camp wedding suite, to a casual backyard BBQ invite.

Featured Font : Pretty Script

Today's font friday is another pretty calligraphy-based script that I picked up earlier this week, aptly named 'Pretty Script'.  The font was created by Gilang Purnama of Decade Type Foundry (you can see some more of his awesome work here).

From the author: "Pretty Script is hand lettered font. It is an elegant, yet whimsically handwritten calligraphy font that was created with readability in mind. It uses open-type features to assist with letter flow and to give each creation that modern and hand-lettered touch."
