Featured Font : Manhattan Darling
I have been loving the look of brush calligraphy lately (but am way to chicken to try to attempt it myself) so I was thrilled to find this great option to play around with! The font was created by Callie Hegstrom of Make Media Co. (you can see some more of her gorgeous work here).
From the author: "Manhattan Darling Typeface was created as a dual-purpose font, with gritty, imperfect, hand-painted characters and an irregular baseline. [You can] use the uppercase portion (Manhattan) to create a bold, organic hand-painted typography, or use the lowercase portion (Darling) for beautiful branding, logo designs, invitations, wedding elements, etc. (see business card preview below)."
Still not convinced you NEED this font? Well, it's ON SALE for only $12 right now AND comes with a bonus set of vectors! The extended license is another $40, but you get quite a bit for the money in my opinion - just look at the fun end characters she has included below -
As you may have assumed I have a thing for fonts. They come in all shapes and sizes with elaborate swashes and elegant details. The right font can easily make or break a design. Every Friday, I’ll share some of my favorites and recent purchases here, hoping to inspire a typography addiction in everyone.
I try to keep my font sheet updated with recent purchases, but if you see a font you love on here and would like to incorporate it into your designs just let me know!
