Featured Font : Oak & Ash
Today's font selection is called Oak & Ash, and was created by James Lafuente. Oak & Ash is a hand drawn, all caps typeface with a handful of alternate characters & glyphs. I can envision this font working beautifully for a fun rehearsal dinner BBQ invite or a birthday party for an adventurous little boy.
Like so many of the fonts I've featured in the past, Oak & Ash can be had for under $20, in fact - it's only $12! At that price you may want to pick up it's sister (brother?) font Pearl District too! Pearl District is a slightly condensed display face and I'm sure they would work beautifully together.
As you may have assumed I have a thing for fonts. They come in all shapes and sizes with elaborate swashes and elegant details. The right font can easily make or break a design. Every Friday, I’ll share some of my favorites and recent purchases here, hoping to inspire a typography addiction in everyone.
I try to keep my font sheet updated with recent purchases, but if you see a font you love on here and would like to incorporate it into your designs just let me know!
